If your day goes on moving things from one place to another

Organise your work without opening five apps

One sentence goes in, and out come an event, a reminder fifteen minutes before and an email confirming it.

  • "Book the client meeting for Tuesday at 10 and remind me 15 minutes before"
  • "What have I got tomorrow afternoon?"
  • "Move the 12 o'clock one to Thursday"
  • "Write to Ana confirming Tuesday's meeting"

The event is in your Calendar and in your Google Calendar, the reminder is set, the email really was sent, and all of it with a button to undo it.

If your home has more than one calendar and a shopping list

The house and the family, without being everyone's secretary

You propose the dinner once and it lands in everyone's calendar, on their own phone.

  • "Create a group with my family"

  • "Turn off the living room lights and set the alarm for seven"

A private board where what one person proposes is carried out by each member's own Nia. The shopping list never makes a sound; a job with someone's name on it rings only for that person.

Driving, cooking, holding the baby

With your hands full

You talk to her and she keeps talking back. Nothing to look at, nothing to touch.

She tells you the travel time and opens the navigation app with the route set. She never reads the directions out loud, because reading directions at someone who is driving helps nobody.

If what matters ends up in a conversation and not in a note

Remembering for you

You tell her once. Next time she already knows.

The allergy comes up on its own when she looks for a restaurant. Everything she remembers sits on one screen where you can search it, edit it or delete the lot, and a password said out loud is not saved without asking you first.

If you post, if you sell, or if you want a photo without the man in the background

Images without opening Photoshop

You ask for the image and it turns up in your Photos album. You ask her to take someone out and they go.

  • "Make me an image of me playing football and save it to Photos"
  • "Remove the person in the background of the last photo"
  • "Make it vertical, 9:16, for stories"
  • "Put together a post with yesterday's photos"

The image is saved to the "Nia" album. In the editor, the masks are worked out on the iPhone itself, and when a mask is not exact the card says so instead of hiding it.

Students, exam candidates, anyone with a contract on the table

Studying and reading dense paperwork

You give her the documents and ask out loud. She answers quoting the file and the page.

  • "What does my contract say about the notice period?"
  • "Scan these notes for me"
  • "Record this lecture and summarise it"
  • "Summarise this link"

Answers with the source in front of you. A meeting is transcribed on the device and finishes even if you close the app.

If you train, if you drink too little water, if you want to know how you slept

Keeping track of your own numbers

You mention it in passing and it is written down in Health.

  • "Log half a litre of water"
  • "I ran for 40 minutes"
  • "How much did I sleep this week?"
  • "Remind me to drink water every two hours"

She reads and writes in Apple Health, on the Pro plan. Your health data never goes to the server: only the number you asked to hear.

If you have already tried to build it with Shortcuts and given up

Things that happen while you are not there

One sentence from you turns into a routine, a job or a Shortcut written out in full.

  • "Every day at eight, tell me what my day looks like"
  • "Tomorrow at eight, find me flights to Rome"
  • "When I say "post to the blog", send the text to this URL"
  • "Build me a shortcut that turns everything off and sets the alarm"

The routine fires on a time, a place or a system event. The job runs on the server and the answer reaches you as a notification. Nia writes the Shortcut and all you do is tap "Add".
